A few days on the road again. My partner works as a full-time outdoor leader and is taking a school group to Peru. We travelled to Eastleigh so she could spend a few days with them before departing on Friday. My ability to work remotely is a gift that allows me to tag along on these road trips. It also helped that I needed to be in the area to work on another Mighty Hike event over the weekend.
Work:
I had to park a lot of the work I had planned for the start of the week. I was given two documents to complete as quickly as possible for validation into the new infrastructure. Two days later, they were done. It felt like time I will never get back (I hate Microsoft Word)
Conducted some more job interviews for a Security Engineer role. Hopefully, we will have someone confirmed soon.
Deployed a new environment stack ready for migration.
Spent a bit of time troubleshooting various issues and permissions.
Not work:
Kettles x2, Corex3, Grease The Groove x3, Run x1
Worked on another MacMillan Mighty Hike, this time in the Cotswolds. Turned out to be an 18-hour day on my feet but still worth it.
